100G OTU4 QSFP28 4CH optical module encompasses variants such as SR4, LR4, ER4, ZR4, and XZR4. It utilizes single-mode fiber with an LC interface, supporting transmission distances of 100m, 2km, 10km, 40km, 80km, and up to a maximum of 100km. This module features high port density and low power consumption. At its core is a 4CH (4-channel) architecture, which employs wavelength multiplexing of four 25Gbps or 28Gbps lanes typically around 1310nm to achieve an aggregate data rate of 100G. It supports dual-rate operation, making it compatible with both 103.1Gbps 100 Gigabit Ethernet and the 112Gbps OTU4 optical transport network standard. Consequently, it is suitable for various applications including telecommunications networks, data center interconnects, and 5G backhaul.
